THIS STORM (and qutting WoW/tidbits) Wednesday, January 20, 2010 | 0

This storm is an eyesore. THIS STORM THIS STORM THIS STORM THIS STORM THIS STORM THIS STORM THIS STORM THIS STORM THIS STORM THIS STORM THIS STORM THIS STORM THIS STORM THIS STORM THIS STORM THIS STORM THIS STORM THIS STORM THIS STORM THIS STORM... (and yeah, that's my houe ;3)

...is nuts. Lots of rain (yay ♥), and I'm getting lucky on my way to work. It doesn't rain until I get to work, so it's not a hassle at all. Either that or I'm in a car when it does. But yeah, TORNADO WARNINGS? IN CALIFORNIA? We were the warmest place in the US last week while the rest of the country was getting some really bad chilly winter weather. But now we've caught up. Seriously, it's going to be way too cold tonight and even colder tomorrow night. It was cold enough for me to use my scarf again. Whatever, I'm enjoying it all.

Even though I'm loving this rain, it's causing me to delay the purchase of a new harddrive for my new faulty PS3. I can't go to Fry's BECAUSE OF THIS STORM. FUCK AKJKSFJDAKEGV. I'm really hoping it just needs a new HDD, I want to play the damned thing already... ;_;

On a side note, playing the Fate/Stay Night visual novel is great with the voice patch. I can't help but to lose so much time easily because of how submersed I can get. Because of that I try not to play before work, that would be disastrous.

Speaking of TYPE-MOON, getting this lovely figure of Azaka with this week's paycheck. My first expensive anime-related purchase... and a good one too. While I would buy one of my waifu Saber, I already have one of her. And I keep getting scared that this one is going to run out of stock/get discontinued. I've had my eyes on it since early December, here's to hoping I can accomplish this purchase without problems.

Also, my wrists have been healing up a bit! I played guitar for a bit yesterday and I'm glad I can actually do it again without my hands hurting insanely. But because of my long break of over a year, my wrists and fingers seem a lot weaker and tire very easily. That means I'm saving up for a guitar once I buy my Azaka figure. Of course, I'm not going to be able to practice like a madman like I used to be able to, so improving my skill will be very slow. But nonetheless it made me extremely happy.

Also, I decided to quit WoW 2 nights ago. The decision just came to me suddenly on my way to work. It just isn't for me anymore. Fuck the premise of the game, seriously. While I'm still curious to see what the expansion will bring, I'm so tired of the game, the players, and just how plain the game becomes once you cap. 1 1/4 years wasted? Well... maybe. I enjoyed myself in the game at times, so it wasn't a total waste. I've just got bigger fish to fry.

UPDATE: So because my siblings are lousy no goods (even after I bought them pizza, assholes), I ended up having to bring in the trash cans. No biggie... except they WASHED 100 FEET DOWN THE STREET LOL. The current going downhill from the runoff was so strong that it knocked the trash cans down and they drifted down the road. I felt like I was in the National Guard getting all the trashcans out of the street.

Pics! (click for slightly larger views. Also bleh for lack of depth perception)

Random Rambling: Horseshit Avenue Monday, January 18, 2010 | 0

Ever heard the expression "Try walking a mile in my shit"? Well, this has finally applied in a literal sense. If you didn't know, I walk to work. The trip is like, 4 miles (usually) with really long blocks. So anyways, it wasn't raining much last night thankfully, but something did catch me off guard.

I get to the second to last block before the bridge crossing and notice there's tons of foliage on the floor. I thought it was kind of odd due to the trees being really bare and leafless, but it was probably due to the strong winds from the storm system my area's currently being hit by. So I'm listening to my music, drinking some Arizona, dreading my way to work. I'm enjoying myself though, due to the wind feeling nice and brisk and the clean atmosphere thanks to the rain that went through that area hours before. I notice that there's a BUNCH of leaves on this stretch of sidewalk. I was about halfway to the crosswalk before the bridge and I noticed that there was horse crap on the sidewalk. I remember there being some before, I guess some of the local peeps have horses and walk them through that area. But as I kept looking, the horse shit just kept going without end. I look back and notice that the horse shit continued in both directions as well. It was a fucking mile of horse shit.

I know that horses can piss and crap and still trot along merrily on their way (thank you horse carriage experience).

I was kind of amazed. I mean... damn, a fucking mile? Did the horse drink some Mexican water? Did the owner feed it high school cafeteria lunch? Did they stop to think that the beast they were riding on just took a shit on a mile-long stretch of sidewalk? Is the horse emaciated to the point where PETA would want to strangle their owner?

Well, I guess that makes for an interesting... memory. I walked a mile in your shit, señor caballo.

Vectoring - Hei (Darker Than Black S2) [Part 2] Saturday, January 9, 2010 | 0

Since I slept off most of yesterday and got caught up with a lot of stuff, I decided to work on outlining the clothes and the facial structures. It wasn't too bad until I got to the right side where the clothes is torn. God is it hard to reproduce simply because it's too dark in some parts as well as me being inexperienced as fuck. I might end up just redrawing that part completely if it comes out looking retarded when I color it in.

Didn't change much, felt like using another UI, didn't like it, and switched back to Muin. For some reason it looks different than before... >_>

So this will be my third vector ever. After working on just the hair alone I can tell this one is going to be trickier than the first two vectors I did. The contrast between the colors in some area will also prove to make this more complicated. Oh well, I'm pretty determined to finish this, I really should have started this a couple of days ago.
